Composite-airframe twin-aisle — 787-8, -9, -10
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the first commercial widebody with a composite primary structure. Powered by GE GEnx-1B or RR Trent 1000, 787 MRO tooling demand has scaled rapidly as the in-service fleet has grown past 1,000 aircraft. 145GSE supplies composite-airframe-friendly access tooling, GEnx-class engine handling, and landing gear rigs sized for the 787 envelope.

787 inspection ports and access panels interface with composite skin panels — tooling must avoid metal-on-composite contact and concentrated point loads. Our 787 access tooling line includes foam-padded standoffs, low-load suction fixtures, and torque-controlled fastener removal kits sized to composite fastener pull-out limits.
787 engines are interchangeable at the airframe interface — both GEnx-1B and Trent 1000 fit the same nacelle. However, engine-section tooling does NOT cross-platform between the two engines. Always confirm engine variant before ordering engine-section fixtures.
