Wide-body four-engine — 747-400, 747-8
The Boeing 747 — the original wide-body — remains in service primarily as freighter operations (747-400F, 747-8F) and as VVIP / government transport. Powered by CF6-80C2 (-400 series) or GEnx-2B (-8 series), 747 MRO tooling demand is concentrated on freighter conversions and remaining passenger operations. 145GSE supplies legacy 747 tooling including engine handling, four-engine handling rigs, and large-frame landing gear stands.

747 MRO tooling spans both inboard and outboard engine positions. Engine swap procedures involve handling four engines — typically tooling is sized for two simultaneous engine changes given hangar space constraints. Custom multi-engine handling fixtures available on request.
747-400 OEM tooling support has narrowed. We maintain the full 747 drawing library and re-manufacture tooling on demand including legacy fixtures no longer available through OEM channels. Reverse engineering offered where original drawings are no longer accessible.
Send drawings, a worn sample, or a part-number list — an engineer reviews every inquiry and replies within 48 hours. Custom Boeing 747 tooling is built to drawing on a 8–14 week lead time.
